“Opening doors to new dreams and opportunitiesâ€
On 26th November 2023, 15 children under the Help Africa Children’s choir embarked on a Europe tour to Spain Marbella and other cities in Denmark and Sweden.
The Choir was invited to Europe by Aloha College our amazing partners who have been very instrumental in changing lives of many vulnerable children through Help Africa foundation.
During their tour in Europe, the Help Africa Children’s choir performed at Aloha college and other schools and cities in Spain and Denmark sharing their rich cultural heritage and spreading messages of hope and resilience through their life changing stories. Despite their humble backgrounds, the children portrayed an infectious joy, energy and contentment through their vibrant performances which amazed their audiences contrasting between the children’s difficult circumstances back home and their enthusiasm. This was a reminder to many in Europe that true happiness and fulfillment comes from within.
For these young performers, this was more than just a Europe performance tour but an incredible and life changing journey of hope and transformation. This was the first time for the children to experience a luxurious lifestyle living in beautiful, clean and spacious homes with more than enough food in the homes, enough clothing and shoes and being loved and cared for like never before in their lives. Indeed this was a dream come true for the children and these remarkable memories will never fade away from their lives.
This experience had a profound impact on the children and many more vulnerable children back home in Uganda. From the Europe Tour, the children were able to promote their life stories and profiles of the other vulnerable children back home with no hope of going to school. From the Europe Tour, the choir was able to get sponsors for more than 25 vulnerable children who were not in school but are now in school and with hope for a bright future.
The Europe tour broadened the children’s minds and instilled a sense of hope and purpose in life. The children realized that their talents and abilities could take them far beyond their humble beginnings.
One of the choir member said “we never thought we could travel beyond Uganda, we have seen the future in Europe and we will work to achieve the future that we have experienced in Europeâ€
This Europe tour also fostered a sense of unity and team work among the children. The choir is a family where they work together, support each other and rely on each other for a common goal. As the children returned to Uganda, they were filled with a newfound sense of purpose and determination, they are no longer limited by their circumstances but empowered by their experiences.
