New Sponsorship

To sponsor a new child for the first time, It is 375 EUR which includes 150 EUR as the start up fee and 225 EUR for the quarter payment. The start up fee caters for start up requirements when a new child is joining boarding school for the first time and these include a new mattress, suitcase, bedsheets, towel, mosquito net, 3 sets of school uniforms, black school shoes, blanket and the scholastic materials.

Primary school:

After the first payment, a sponsor is then invoiced 225 EUR on a quarterly basis (every 3 months). You can chose whether you want to pay quarterly, half year or yearly. Additional costs will be new uniforms 100 EUR that are invoiced once a year at the turn of the year.

University:

Re-sponsorship

It is 225 EUR per Quarter (75 EUR per month) to Re-sponsor a child back to school after his or her sponsor has stopped sponsorship. You can chose whether you want to pay quarterly, half year og yearly. Additional costs will be new uniforms 100 EUR that are invoiced once a year at the turn of the year.

This is a very big challenge as we can not let the children drop out of school even after the sponsor has stopped sponsoring.In this case we shall put the child back to searching for sponsor to get a new sponsor.Sponsorship brings strong love in these vulnerable childrenâ€™s hearts, a strong relationship that they would love to hold on to forever and when a sponsor stops they feel abandoned by the ones they loved.

Sponsoring

We understand that at times sponsor families are faced with financial difficulties , we kindly request in such situations to encourage friends or family to join and sponsor in a group to continue making a difference in the childâ€™s life. You can choose to sponsor individually or in a group or a company The school calender has 4 Quarters in a year and a sponsor is invoiced 4 times on quarterly basis.

Background

Comfort comes from a family of 6 children and was abandoned by her father together with her siblings when she was still a baby. Her father stays in Katanga slum and works in the city council authority as a garbage collector but he refused to support his children in any way financially.

Ever since Comfort was young, she has been under the care of her struggling mother together with her siblings. Her mother is unemployed and can not be able to take care of her children and also pay for their school fees. Due to lack of income, her mother now stays with one of her relatives because she can not afford a house to stay in with her children.

Comfort stays with her brother in a single room in Katanga Slum, her brother is a footballer at a local village club and only paid some little money occasionally when he gets a contract. Sometimes his brother engages in doing casual jobs in the slum like loading or offloading firewood to be able to support his sisters.

It is on very few occasions that Comfort is supported by her mother when she gets some casual work to do. Comfort is on and off school and not at school now because of lack of school fees.

Comfort is looking for a sponsor to support her attain a good and stable education so that she attains her dream of becoming a professional nurse.
