NGOZI PETER

Background

Peter’s mother died from HIV/AIDS in 2021 and his father suffers from epilepsy. Due to his father’s illness, he fell in the fire and got his whole body burnt and spent 2 months in hospital. Right now Peter’s father is unable to work and is taken care of by his grandfather. Peter and his 2 siblings are under the care of their aunt alone. They stay in a single room in Katanga slum with 3 children of their aunt. His aunt separated with her husband and he does not give any financial support to the children.

To earn a living, his aunt just started renting a tap from her landlord to sell tap water in the slum from which she earns a very small income. However, her small income can not cater for the family basic needs and also sustain Peter in school. Due to lack of school fees, Peter just started kindergarten at a poor nearby school in the slum but frequently misses because of lack of school fees.

Peter is searching for a sponsor to support him attain a good and stable education that will change his life.
