Background
Florence lost both her parents when she was very young.
She was left under the care of her aunt who also later abandoned her because she could no longer afford to take care of her as she also had started her own family. Florence then had to move to her grandmother’s home 2 years back in a village called Mityana away from Kampala.
Her grandmother is unemployed and depends on subsistence farming from which she is able to get some food to feed her grandchildren. During holidays, Florence and the other grandchildren help with the farming in the garden.
Since she is unemployed she can not afford to pay for Florence’s school fees.
Florence has been sponsored under Help Africa since 2018 and unfortunately she had to drop out of school this year because of no sponsorship.
Florence is a hardworking girl in class and loves being in school.
Florence is looking for another chance to be sponsored so that she can resume school and be able to achieve her dream of becoming a doctor.
