Background

Flavia does not go to school due to lack of school fees.

She was abandoned by her father when she was 2 years old. They stay in Katanga slum with his mother in a single rented small room.

Her mother roasts maize alongside the streets of Katanga slum and earns less than 1USD a day and yet she must take care of Flavia’s basic needs and pay for house rent and other basics. From her small income, she is not able to save any money to be able to take Flavia to school.

She dreams that one day her daughter can get a chance of going to school just like the other children.

Flavia admires being in school and she is looking for an opportunity to be sponsored so that she can be able to go to school.
