Loy’s father died a sudden death in 2015 and was left under the care of her mother alone together with her young siblings.

They used to stay in Katanga slum with her mother but shifted in 2018 to the village because her mother could no longer afford to pay for house rent in the slum.  In order to bring food on the table, Loy’s mother grows sweet potatoes and cassava on a small scale for home consumption and she is hired to dig on people’s farms from which she earns a very small income. Loy goes to a poor village school and misses school most times because her mother’s income can not sustain her in school.

Loy admires to attain a good stable education and she is searching for a chance in life to be sponsored to attain a bright future.
