Jeremiah’s father died when he was still a baby. He lives with his mother and 5 siblings  in a one roomed house in Katanga slum and he is the last born among the children. Jeremiah’s mother works as a baby setter in the slum and earns  more less than a dollar ($0.27) per child. She also  does any kind of casual job like washing people’s clothes in the slum to be able to make ends meet.

However despite the mother’s hard work, the small income  she earns is very little to cater for house rent, food, medication, clothing as well as save for the children’s school fees. Jeremiah goes to a small poor school nearby the slum but he is always missing school because his mother can not afford to sustain him in school.

Jeremiah is in search of a sponsor to help him attain a good stable education.
